Zizzi is one of those staple restaurants that, for many people, is a go-to. This year, however, a bright spark within the company created a brilliant concept: transforming one of their restaurants into a tropical-themed paradise. Transporting diners to something inspired by the Italian Riviera, this new design brings a fresh flavour to an otherwise ordinary place.
Dressed Up as a Secret Paradise
This immersive tropical dream comes complete with all the sights, sounds and of course smells of Italy, specifically the luxurious Riviera. The floor is covered with (fake) green grass, the tables are dark and rustically wooden and the metal chairs come in a variety of vibrant colours. And leafy plants have been inserted into just about every spare space in the room. To top it off, observe the fairy lights and garden benches.
The inside of this restaurant isn’t actually too far from the reality that Britain has seen this summer. In the unusually hot weather, there might not be much different between coming off the town high street and stepping inside the restaurant. Even so, the new design adds a little Italian tranquillity. It also provides the feeling of being in a secret garden.
There’s not a display freezer in sight, because high-quality ones like those from https://www.fridgefreezerdirect.co.uk/glass-door-refrigeration/single-glass-door-freezers are easily hidden behind the masses of trees planted in the restaurant.
A Shiny New Menu
As well as the design, the food has also seen a revamp. New items include a rustica pizza d’or that comes with a pepper pesto base and a crab cannelloni with white crab. You can also enjoy ricotta cannelloni in a lobster butter sauce as well many other delicious dishes that are exotic and summery. There are even more treats sitting in the dessert menu. Blackcurrant, white chocolate and mascarpone cheesecake takes centre stage here, while on the drinks menu there is a new range of fresh, botanically inspired drinks. Even more recently, weirder things have happened to the Zizzi menu: https://www.retailtimes.co.uk/micro-artist-roys-people-creates-mini-masterpieces-on-zizzis-new-summer-menu-dishes/.
Nothing lasts forever, though. This fun innovation only lasted until the 21st of July this year and was only available at the restaurant in St Katherine’s Docks in London. But, who knows? Other Zizzi restaurants may capitalise on the success of this venture, so we could yet see more of these tropical gardens popping up soon.
